DESIGN PRINCIPLES

GRA 1433
Basic Design & Web Applications
Florida A&M University

This course is intended to instruct students about the key software elements that are needed to become graphic professionals. The basic principles of selected program applications are presented as they apply to computer graphics, design, and the publishing industry in this introductory course. Due to the number of programs (5) there is only enough time to teach basic skills. These basic skills will serve as a springboard for developing a stronger understanding of the programs in the Adobe CS Suite as well as additional programs needed for varying graphic communication positions.

A project is associated with each program taught (Photoshop, Illustrator, inDesign, Flash) with the final project encompassing all of these individual projects in an HTML page created using Dreamweaver.
